Sofitel Athens Airport
"Receptionist seemed new. Not very welcoming and very quiet. I had paid extra for a bigger room with club lounge access but she didn’t mention this until I asked . Then after she looked again in the system, she said “oh ok I’ll add vip access” as if she was doing me a favour. I then showed her my ..."

Divani Palace Acropolis
"Good location near Acropolis with a wonderful rooftop bar & restaurant - but not a luxury hotel despite the price. The so-called acropolis view room required standing on the edge of a very hot balcony to see the fabled structure. Breakfast buffet a bit steep at 32 euros - all in for ‘American buffet’. ..."

We had a superior room so this meant breakfast in the upstairs restaurant overlooking the Acropolis...not bad I have to say! It was never ..."

"The hotel is in a slightly rough around the edges area but it is next to a metro stop, plus you can walk to most of the central areas in about 20 minutes anyway. We had a superior room so this meant breakfast in the upstairs restaurant overlooking the Acropolis...not bad I have to say! It was never too crowded up there, the food was good and well stocked too. Best bit about the hotel though is the rooftop pool of course. Could have stayed there the whole trip! Bar prices are a bit expensive (€9 a pint) especially when compared to the rest of the Athens, but that is the only negative. Rooms were also cleaned very well each day, plus reception dealt with our requests swiftly when needed. Would highly recommend!"
